Understanding the relationship between party and government at independence – The Southern Africa Case Study – 6 October 2017

Written by on October 6, 2017

UNIP was alienated from the government after the one party experiment, but its demise did not sink the country with it.

Is it not ironic that Zambians during the UNIP era used to go to Zimbabwe to buy essentials but in the post-UNIP era, Zambians have a different story to tell in respect of production and output?

Those who are persuaded to think that nationalisation and the one party idea offer a better promise, the Zambian case study is pregnant with lessons.

One Zambian, one leader, one leader — and the leader was none other than KK and the rest is history.
